Hello Tidal Waves!

We can't wait to begin the 2025 Summer Swim season! Practices will be starting this week. With that in mind, we wanted to let you know about a few things. Please read carefully as we have a lot of important information in this email.

We ask that you register for the swim team by May 14 to be on the team shirt, so there's still time to encourage friends and neighbors to join!

Schedule and Practice Times. We are looking forward to the many fun social activities that are part of the swim season! Please check out our Schedule Tab to find our Season Calendar and our Practice Times. Practice starts this coming Thursday, May 15!

Please remember to bring a swimsuit, goggles, water and tennis shoes to practice. There may be dry land aspects to practice, especially in the earlier, cooler practices, so it is important that the kids have shoes that they are able to run in!

The first practice (May 15) will be held at the KC Clubhouse Pool, all other practices will be held at Lakeview Pool. This is to make it easier for parents to attend the Parent Information Sessions at the Clubhouse while the kids are practicing.

Parent Information Session. These will be held on Thursday, May 15 at the KC Clubhouse.

There are two sessions to choose from. We are asking parents to please make every effort to attend one of the following sessions.

Session 1: 4:40pm

Session 2: 5:30pm

While we have tried to overlap these sessions with swim practice, the sessions will be held rain or shine! So even if practice is rained out, please plan to come to the Clubhouse to hear the Board and Coaches give details about the upcoming swim season. Volunteer shifts will open for sign up after the sessions. We are using a NEW swim management website this year, so be sure to attend to learn how to sign up for volunteer shifts and swim meets. We will be there to answer any questions you have!

Team Suits. Our official team suits can be ordered through Nova Sports. Check out our team swim shop for ordering.

Swimtopia App. In order to get up to the minute information about weather delays or cancellations, sign up for meets, view your volunteer commitments, view swim results, and more, we ask you to download the Swimtopia App from the App Store or Google Play. We are asking parents to do this before the Parent Information Session so that we can be there to answer questions if there is any confusion.

Website and Social Media. Our team website, 2025 Kings Charter Tidal Waves, has been updated and we are excited to share it with you. This is a NEW website url. We also have a private Facebook Group for sharing photos, videos, tips and tricks, etc. entitled KC Tidal Waves Private Group.

Board Member Shadowing. We have a few positions opening up on the board for next year. If this is something you've considered, please reach out so that you can shadow a board member this year to transition into a spot next year.
