Meet #2: HOME - Kings Charter Tidal Waves vs Twin Hickory Torpedoes, Wednesday, June 11
First, a few notes:
- Saturday Swim Clinics! Swim clinics are an opportunity for swimmers to gain more focused instruction in a smaller group setting. We will be offering three sets of sessions:
- 6/14: Starts and turns
- 6/21: Freestyle and backstroke
- 6/28: Butterfly and breaststroke
On each day there will be 3 time slots to choose from: 8:00-8:45; 9:00-9:45, and 10:00-10:45 and there are spots for 12 swimmers at each session. All sessions are open to all ages and ability–the coaches will assign swimmers to lanes accordingly. The sign ups will be through Swimtopia on this link. Each session will cost $10. Cash and Venmo will be accepted on the day of the clinic.
- Tomorrow morning we welcome SwimRVA coaches as they join our coaches for a special practice. They will be here for all age groups practices. Likewise, the following Monday (6/16), the Hanover Hurricanes will be here for all of the afternoon practices. These are great opportunities to work with coaches with years of experience and find out more about year-round swimming.
- Swimmers can pick up their ribbons from the folder on the table in the breezeway at Lakeview Pool.
- Spirit Night! Tuesday, July 10 will be Spirit Night from 3-9pm at Gelati Celesti at Rutland Commons. Please mention the attached flyer in order for our team to get credit for the spirit night. Treat yourself and help the swim team!
- Our swim-a-thon will be on Friday, June 27, from 9-11 am. Donations can be made at: https://givebutter.com/swimforczc/kings-charter-tidal-waves. This year, we're raffling off prizes. You can enter a ticket for every $10 collected. See attached flyer for more information
