This year, we’d like to get the whole family involved in the fun. Please consider signing up for one (or more!) of the events that we would like to host. Here are the details:

1. Relay Races - everyone needs to be able to swim 25 meter freestyle - there will be 5 total races to declare a winner so, you must stay with your team and watch in case you swim more than once.

  • Two sets of teams are set up on their respective sides of the pool
  • A referee or non-participating swimmer either tosses or places the greased-up watermelon in between both teams in the middle of the pool. At the start signal, players from both teams rush to gain control of the greased watermelon
  • Teams then work together to move the watermelon toward the opposing team’s goal area. The watermelon can be thrown or tossed to its destination.
  • The first team to successfully get the watermelon into the opposing team’s goal area wins the round. There will be 3 total games to declare a winner so stay close to the contest area in case your team goes twice.
